The Global Campaign for the Return of Varosha to its Lawful Inhabitants and its potential success is completely dependent on the signatories to its petition. Nonetheless, CYSO ISCHYS, the NGO behind the Global Campaign, would like to share some messages of support from prominent individuals and organizations that are kindly supporting the Global Campaign.
House of Commons (United Kindgom)
The House of Commons is the Parliament (along with its other chamber, the House of Lords) of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. On April 17, 2007, an Early Day Motion was submitted in the House of Commons by Andrew Dismore MP, stating the following:
That this House...supports and draws attention to the online petition, which anyone can sign, the Global Campaign for the Return of Varosha to its lawful inhabitants that were displaced in 1974, which can be found on www.isxys.org/famagusta/.
